I enjoy playing the piano, drawing and above all – reading. The picture I draw for you shows two worlds: one world depicts our lives today and the other world shows life before the war. I found about the war from my brother – he told me that Kharkiv was getting bombed. Since the beginning of the war, I am unable to go to school and spend time with my friends who I miss dearly… The war forced my family to leave our home. Today we all live in a safer place…This war separated me from all my relatives, and I would like hug them as soon as the war is over. I would like to ask all of you to help Ukraine win this war.

My name is Mikola (Kolya). I am 9 years old. Before the war I lived in Kharkiv. I play the trumpet and enjoy soccer. In the video, I am playing the anthem of Ukraine, because it symbolizes our longing for peace. Our anthem is a call for unity to all people as we fight the evil. That morning, my parents were nervously discussing something and then started packing. This is how I found out about the start of the war. Since then I have not seen my schoolmates. I want to go home so much. I want to hug my relatives. I would like to ask all of you to support our Ukrainian defenders and ordinary Ukrainian people.
